I would say antique. Vintage is now the 2000's according to my kids.

Mystery solved!
Total knock off. You can tell it is this by the side profile of the plate that comes off the bottom bracket.

I will be about, getting my kids into BMX which has refuelled my love of BMX, so I am on the hunt for some old school bikes, for myself, not the kids!!
